Review Drawings and PDFs Together
Drop in a floor plan, drawing set or storyboard and mark it up with your team in real time — nothing to install.
Most drawing reviews still happen over email: a PDF goes out, scribbled notes come back, and someone has to reconcile them all. In Shale, everyone you invite opens the PDF in their browser, drops a note exactly where it applies, assigns it to a teammate and replies in a threaded conversation. It all happens live, so ten people can review the same sheet at once and see each other's notes appear as they're written.
Notes Exactly Where They Belong
Click anywhere on a drawing to leave a note, assign it to a teammate and keep the conversation threaded beside the page. Every comment stays pinned to the spot it's about.
Draw, Cloud and Mark Up
Freehand drawing, annotation clouds and colour controls give you the markup tools you'd expect. Shale runs in any browser, supports multi-touch, and is pressure-sensitive with a stylus.
Navigate Big Drawing Sets
Flip through a multi-page set page by page, lay it out as a strip, or rifle through it like a filing cabinet to jump straight to the sheet you need. Upload new versions and compare them side by side.
